On President's Day Monday, February 17th, acclaimed composer and keyboardist Phyllis Chen lead a workshop in which participants, mostly families with young children, were invited to draw on scrolls which they and Phyllis punched into miniature compositions for the music box. Using her composer's alchemy, Chen will use this material to weave together a new sound collage, Floating Verses: Morristown, which will be one part of of her show, Automatoys, when it premieres at the Bickford Theatre on March 13th at 8pm and Saturday, March 14th at 2pm.

Live Arts at the Morris Museum presents New Jersey's own dance heroes, 10 Hairy Legs, in Trouble Will Find Me: Remixed, a one-of-a-kind sensory experience Thursday, November 21st through Sunday, November 23rd . 10 Hairy Legs, which celebrates the artistry of the male dancer will join forces with up-from-the-street choreographer Doug Elkins for Trouble Will Find Me: Remixed. This new, new site-specific piece will be staged, fittingly, in the Museum's Main Gallery with the thrilling new exhibition, Aerosol: Graffiti l Street Art l New Jersey l Now as their backdrop.
On Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2pm, the San Francisco-based Telegraph Quartet, winner of the 2016 Naumburg Chamber Music Award, joins forces with composer Robert Sirota for a performance presented by the Live Arts Series at the Morris Museum (6 Normandy Heights Road) in Bickford Theatre. This concert is part of Sirota @ 70, a celebration throughout the 2019-2020 concert season featuring residencies, performances, and premieres in honor of the composer's 70th birthday.
