By CHARLES MOREYDirected by CHARLES MOREYFeaturing: GUS KAIKKONEN, REBECCA BRINKLEY, BRIDGET BEIRNE. and ALEX CARRA play filled with some of the most beautiful music ever written, Dumas Camille is both a deeply romantic love story and a thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between truth, memory, and art.In 1895 Paris, the aging Alexandre Dumas observes a rehearsal of Verdis La Traviata, the opera adapted from his novel and play, The Lady of the Camellias which in turn were inspired by his youthful real-life love affair with the most beautiful courtesan in Paris. Prompted by selections from the operas soaring arias and duets, Dumas is forced to confront his guilt, regrets, and memory of lost love.

The Players' stage comes roaring back to life with Cabaret, the daring, bold, and provocative classic musical, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff. This celebrated, show-stopping, musical masterpiece is the first mainstage Players' production to return indoors since February of 2020. Cabaret opens on Thursday, June 23rd and runs until Sunday, July 3rd.

The Peterborough Players produces 7 Main Stage shows each season that run late June through September, and two Second Company children's shows that run July and August. The Peterborough Players was founded in 1933 by Edith Bond Stearns -- EBS as she was known to friends -- a woman of imagination and vision with a love for the arts. To quote from Our Playhouse (available through Peterborough Players): “At the time EBS decided to purchase the Hadley Farm, it was abandoned and had no electricity or running water.”
