Romantic sparks are flying on stage in the Birmingham Village Players (BVP) production of Shakespeare in Love, September 10-26, 2021. The romantic period comedy is based on the Academy Award motion picture and features comedy, drama, swashbuckling action, mistaken identity, ruthless scheming, and backstage theatrics. Shakespeare in Love runs September 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25 at 8 p.m. and September 12, 19, and 26 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 (plus a $1.00 processing fee) and are available online at www.birminghamvillageplayers.com or by calling 248-644-2075. The Village Players playhouse is located at 34660 Woodward Avenue in Birmingham.
