Classical and Eastern European trumpet concertos introduce MSO audiences to one of the leading trumpet soloists of the generation. John DeMain serves up a banquet of delicious works beginning with Sibelius' monumental Finlandia, and Adams' Doctor Atomic Symphony and Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier make this one of the most eclectic offerings of the season.
