A singular event in world history intersects with a personal fate: That is the starting point for Neil LaBute's play day of grace.

New York, 2001, the day after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. The employee would normally Ben among the victims, as well as his boss Abby - but both were not in her office in one of the twin towers, but they spent more chance a tryst in Abby's luxury apartment. Ben's cell phone rings every few minutes - his wife wants to find out whether the missing person is still alive. But Ben is not ran: He plays with the idea to just disappear and start a new life elsewhere with Abby. His track would unquestionably lose in the inferno of rubble and ashes. But Abby wants the unique opportunity which arises from the use of disaster, not - at least not so. It demands that Ben makes a clean sweep with his family.

The American Neil LaBute is a specialist in the reconditioning of topical issues in contemporary theater. His plays Bash (about the emergence of violence) and The Shape of Things (about body modification) have been performed at many homes. His screenplays have been filmed for movies with stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller, Renee Zellweger and Morgan Freeman.

For the realization of two-person piece the day of grace, three players have joined the class.

Désirée Nosbusch made her movie debut in 1981 and has since played in a dozen high-profile films and several television dramas. Became popular in the native Luxembourgish but primarily through their presentations, including the Grand Prix € vision. Nosbusch stepped on stage, who studied in New York theater and film director, as Katharina in The Taming of the Shrew at the Ruhr Festival.

Knizhka novel is one of the regulars on German television, with several large rolls from the crime scene through to the TV drama. He also enjoyed success in the cinema, at the Oscar nominees anderemin movie twins. Less well known is that before his television career knizhka was on his way to a theater star. The journal "Theater heute" elected him in 1994 for best young actor of the year. Now he returns to the stage.

Herbert Knaup owes his high name recognition also of the screen and the screen. Hessian Television Award, Bavarian Film Award, Golden Camera Awards, German Film Awards: Art Knaups differentiated representation guarantees for quality. Again and again he has also sought contact with the theater stage, in Cologne, Berlin or Hamburg. For the day of grace for the first time he switches sides: Herbert Knaup directs.
