Downtown Los Angeles is a study in contrasts. With advancing gentrification, the affluent and the hip are pouring money into the district. This is taking place just a couple blocks from Skid Row, home to the lowest of the low, where danger, filth and abject poverty pervade the street. Downtown is also home to Los Angeles’ Historic Core, meaning this part of the city is old. There are ghosts here, many, many ghosts. A homeless man is your guide to Downtown L.A., and The City Underneath.
Written and performed by Evan Lorenzetti. Directed by Jessica Lynn Johnson.
