Jez Butterworth's masterful international Tony Award winning Best Play (2019) “The Ferryman” will run January 27-March 5, 2023 (opening February 4) – in the first United States production after Broadway – and the first in the newly renovated and renamed Conrad Prebys Theatre at the Dea Hurston New Village Arts Center.
The Breath Project's New Play Commission Initiative will provide five of those works with $17,000 commissions each to develop full-length plays based on or inspired by their original festival submission.
San Diego Repertory Theatre is at 79 Horton Plaza, San Diego, CA.
We produce an eclectic mix of world premieres, brilliant contemporary plays and re-imagined classics. To enhance the theatre experience and encourage dialogue around each REP production, over 60 Surround Events are offered free of charge throughout the season—a diverse assortment of pre- and post-performance salons, mini concerts, and forums with area scholars and artists.
