'Strangers on a Train' opens January 18 at Theatre 40, Beverly Hills, CA. Written by Craig Warner, based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith. Directed by Jules Aaron.
The Manor- Murder and Madness at Greystone is by now a Los Angeles/Beverly Hills institution. The play, returning for a nineteenth season, surpassed its 200th performance in 2014. This will mark its first engagement since 2020.
The egocentric and eccentric heroine of this play is principal of a teachers' college in England. She fights with every fiber of her being against mediocrity in public education and in the world in general.
Theatre 40 will present the Los Angeles Premiere of Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help January 19- February 19, 2023. The play is written by Katie Forgette, directed by Ann Hearn Tobolowsky, and produced for Theatre 40 by David Hunt Stafford.
This Spotlight focuses on Martin Thompson, a self-proclaimed recovering soap opera actor who often graces stages as an a?oeOfficial Sherlock Holmes Performera?? and now frequents the stage or directs at Theatre 40 in Beverly Hills as well as in films and on TV series. And as a distinguished member of the acting faculty at The New York Film Academy, Martin now teaches an Acting for Film class online. The play tells the story of the O'Sheas, a cash-challenged, Irish-Catholic family just trying to get through 1973. Linda O'Shea, our 19-year old narrator, is attempting to re-enact for the audience the most turbulent day of her life....but her family keeps interrupting, insisting on telling their side of the story.

The Manor- Murder and Madness at Greystone is by now a Los Angeles/Beverly Hills institution. The play, now in its eighteenth year, surpassed its 200th performance in 2014. The show is a roman a clef, a fictionalization based on real events with the actual historical characters given new names. To lend authenticity to the presentation, the show is presented in the grand and glorious architectural landmark in which the events of 90 years ago actually took place.
Homeward L.A. 2019 is a program consisting of eleven monologues based on stories of people who've experienced homelessness. Actors of Theatre 40 will perform the show, directed by one of Theatre 40's regular directors, Jules Aaron.
