Thom Pain (based on nothing), a play by Will Eno, has been announced for the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Directed by Bryan Keith and performed by Johnny Patrick Yoder, there will be five performances only at the Broadwater Second Stage: Sunday 6/5 at 5:30pm (preview); Saturday 6/11 at 7:30pm; Thursday 6/16 at 8pm; Wednesday 6/22 at 5pm; and Saturday 6/25 at 12:30pm. Running time is 70 minutes.
The HCLAB Theatre Company and the Art of Acting Studio are proud to present its second annual Old Play Reading Festival, a twist on the concept of a a?oenewa?? play festival that instead honors plays in the classic theatre canon. The festival features alumni, faculty, administration, and friends of the Art of Acting Los Angeles and Stella Adler Studio of Acting NYC communities.
The Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company (Tom Oppenheim, Artistic Director) has announced a limited engagement of William Shakespeare's King Lear. Under the direction of Nike Doukas, the production will feature H. Richard Greene in the title role, Mark Bramhall as Gloucester, Stephen Caffrey as Kent, and David Sussman as The Fool. Opening is set for Thursday, July 18, at 8pm.
