In its premiere at the Paper Mill Playhouse, the audiences and critics cheered this new adaptation of one of the greatest novels in the English language—a story of pride and ambition blinding a soul to the true values of life. Here are all the memorable characters—Young Pip, the blacksmith's apprentice whose secret benefactor gives him his great expectations of becoming a London gentleman; the mad Miss Havisham who shut herself up in her gloomy mansion when she was jilted on her wedding day; her adopted daughter, Estella, whom she has trained to break men's hearts; the gentle blacksmith, Joe, and his shrewish wife; the escaped convict, Magwitch, and the scarred man who is stalking him; the bumbling Herbert Pocket; the pompous Uncle Pumblechook; the austere lawyer, Jaggers, with his whimsical clerk, Wemmick; the murderous Orlick; kindly Biddy; arrogant Drummle; and a vast array of wonderfully actable roles. The production can be played simply on a set which cleverly takes the audience from the windswept marshes to gloomy mansion, bustling London and even a boat collision on the Thames. Gripping drama, delightful humor and a true Dickensian flavor all the while. A terrific way to introduce audiences of all ages to one of the great works of literature. Included in the script are complete stage directions.

Review: KIM'S CONVENIENCE at TheatreSquared
February 21, 2023What did our critic think of KIM'S CONVENIENCE at TheatreSquared? The coolest places to hang in Fayetteville is definitely Dickson Street. It has George's Majestic Lounge, which hosts so many awesome bands, Walton Arts Center, which brings in national touring companies, and my favorite- TheatreSquared, which has KIM'S CONVENIENCE showing through Sunday, Feb. 26. Written by Ins Choi and directed by Nelson Eusebio, this comedy definitely brings the laughs but also tugs at your heart with the realness of family expectations and desires. This performance brings out honest emotions and is worth seeing again!
Beloved Masterpiece A CHRISTMAS CAROL Comes To The T2 Stage This December
November 22, 2022TheatreSquared's A Christmas Carol—a beloved Northwest Arkansas tradition that debuted with the company's new building in 2019—will return to the stage December 1 and continue performances through Christmas Eve. Adapted by T2 co-founders Amy Herzberg and Robert Ford, the inventive, magic-filled T2 original production is directed by Herzberg and associate director Bryce Kemph.

BWW Review: Audiences fall in love with SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE at TheatreSquared
August 29, 2019Shakespeare may have been in love with Viola in this season's premiering romance/comedy Shakespeare in Love at the brand new installation for TheatreSquared, 477 W. Spring Street, in Downtown Fayetteville, but I was in love with this theatre the moment I stepped inside the venue. The look of the building, the eagerness from the staff, and the fun coming from my fellow patrons made Wednesday night's (Aug. 28) production immensely enjoyable. Running through September 15, this performance is a must see.
10,000 BALCONIES Announced At TheatreSquared
August 12, 2019On August 30, TheatreSquared (T2) will stage a special workshop production of 10,000 Balconies as the first offering in the Spring Theatre at T2's new home in downtown Fayetteville. This new play, conceived, created and directed by Kholoud Sawaf (director of T2's Vietgone), loosely inspired by Romeo and Juliet, is set in modern Syria. 10,000 Balconies is an intimate window into the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the world, suffused with its poetry, music, dance, and movement, and centered on a story of love in contemporary Damascus. With original music performed live by Hadi Eldebek (Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road project ensemble) and members of the cast, 10,000 Balconies is an immersive performance experience, offered in Northwest Arkansas from August 30 until September 1. The play's three-year developmenta?"which included a series of artist-driven workshops and retreats in Northwest Arkansas and New Yorka?"and public performances were made possible by a major grant from the Building Bridges Program of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.
