This smash sci-fi musical has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years! A nerdy flower shop clerk named Seymour stumbles across a new breed of plant which he affectionately names after his secret crush, Audrey. The exotic bloom offers the promise of fame and fortune, but Seymour soon discovers that the mysterious “Audrey II” also has a taste for blood, ominous origins and an insatiable appetite for power!

The hilarious musical murder mystery, originally slated to close June 16, will now run through July 28 in Stages' Arena Theatre. Founded in 1978, Stages makes plays and tells stories that invite everyone to live more deeply and love more boldly. The common link throughout our work is a focus on sharing compelling human stories in intimate performance spaces that allow audiences to connect with both the art on stage and the people who help create it. Stages has grown to become Houston’s sixth largest nonprofit performing arts producer overall, and the largest outside of Houston’s downtown theater district.
