Registration Deadline Announced for Ballet Hispánico Summer Intensive

The Education and Community Engagement department of Society for the Performing Arts presents the 2018 Ballet Hispánico Summer Intensive from June 4 - 15 at Episcopal High School. The deadline for registration is May 25. The two-week residency is designed to serve the needs of emerging dancers in the Houston community and supports a 360-degree approach to the development of the dancer.

The program will be rigorous and dynamic in the tradition of Ballet Hispánico's signature fusion of classical ballet, contemporary, and folkloric dance forms. The intensive has been curated to satisfy the cultivation of technique, versatility in the fusion of forms and disciplines, and the education of families and dancers to understand how to navigate a dancer's life.

Dancers in grades 6 - 12 are invited to register. The intensive is split into two sections, a Junior High Intensive (grades 6 - 8) and a Pre-Professional Intensive (grades 9 - 12). Class placement will take place the first day to ensure each participant is placed in the appropriate level group.
