The Naples Players Kidzact Present ONCE ON THIS ISLAND JR.

The Naples Players (TNP) present the KidzAct Summer production of Once On This Island Jr. in the Tobye Studio Theatre at The Naples Players Sugden Community Theatre August 9 - 11, 2019.

With its poignant story and catchy Caribbean-flavored musical score, Once on This Island Jr. is a highly original theatrical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical by the legendary writing team, Ahrens and Flaherty. Through almost non-stop song and dance, this full-hearted musical tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. When Daniel is returned to his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island, guide Ti Moune on a quest that will test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred, and even death.

The KidzAct production of Once on This Island Jr. is directed/choreographed by Erica Sample with Musical Direction by Lisa Federico performing Friday, August 9th at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, August 11th at 6:30 p.m. The Once on This Island Jr. cast includes (in alphabetical order) KC Allen plays Agwe, Benjamin Beightol is Daniel Beauxhomme, Isabella Camina is Andrea Deveraux, Emma Eastman is Mama Euralie, Daniella Flom is papa Ge, Jordan Gersbach is Asaka, Savannah Ouverson is Ti Moune, Max Pearson is Tonton Julian, and Lorelai Vega is Erzulie. The storytellers are played by Marianna Greenwood, Jordan Crawford, and Tucker Claremont and the ensemble members are Leonard Allen, Isabella Antunes, Aleena Arico, Karina Baldwin, Valentina Camina, Sophia Campbell, Zoe Ciabaton, Lily Coppell, Sophia Hajjar, Ashley Hyland, Eliza Leslie, and Cassidy Levens.

Once on This Island Jr. performs August 9 at 6:30 p.m., August 10 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and August 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Tobye Studio Theatre at The Naples Players at The Sugden Community Theatre at 701 5th Avenue South in Naples.
