Breakdown
VUTHY (pronounced Woo-Tee) - Male, 16, Cambodian-American. Small, dorky, unusual looking, a little weird. A scrappy kid with the soul of a street poet, he struggles to hold his family heritage close in a dangerous world. A quick wit who wears thick glasses. RA - Female, 22, Vuthy’s sister. Pretty, bright, ambitious, a luminous presence, she is conflicted about her future and her responsibilities to Vuthy. A strong-willed, spirited young woman. HAN – Male, Mid 20’s, Cambodian-American. A family friend. Tall, muscular, tattooed, warm and effortlessly handsome. Just out of prison, he has a tough exterior and a big, generous heart. GLENN – Male, Mid 20’s-30’s, Chinese-American. Ra’s boyfriend. Good-looking, clean cut, preppy, earnest and confident, he tries his best to fit into Ra’s world.
