She comes to Russia to improve her Russian and stays with her “aunty” Yaroslava. OLGA/PASSPORT CONTROL OFFICER/PROFESSOR/VALENTINA. 40s female. Olga is Annie’s Russian mother. Valentina is the tsar’s wife. YAROSLAVA/BABA YAGA, middle-aged female. Annie’s “aunty,” but not related to her. Just like the fairy tale character Baba Yaga, she ages every time she is asked a question. KATYA, 19-year-old Russian woman.
