BREAKDOWN

SUSAN – 20s/30s – A vivacious, charming, and determined young woman. In the last year she has lost her eyesight in a car accident and met and married Sam. She refuses to let her eyesight loss ruin her life. Susan is quick to make a sarcastic barb yet has a warm and welcoming disposition.

MIKE – 30s/40s – A charming, handsome, small-time con artist. He has a soul and a conscience, which he has to keep in check when working a job.

SAM – 30s – A former marine, Sam is now a photographer. He takes his work and Susan’s rehabilitation seriously. A solemn man, he also has a playful streak.

CARLINO – 30s/40s – Quite rough around the edges and a bit sloppy, he is the brawn of the operation. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Carlino is recently out of prison but has not lost his edge in a long con game.

ROAT – 30s/40s - A true sociopath. He does not care who he hurts in his pursuits. He trusts no one nor should anyone trust him. He has nerves of steel. He role-plays as Harry Roat Senior, a 70 year old eccentric man and Harry Roat Junior, his henpecked and mild-mannered son. It is chilling how thoroughly he morphs into these roles.
