Rehearsals and performances held indoors at the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University. We are working with an AEA-approved safety plan that includes vaccination, testing, masking, cleaning and distancing protocols. Pursuant to AEA guidelines, proof of full vaccination no later than two weeks prior to in-person work is a required condition of employment.

SEEKING:
Officer Lockstock – M 30s-50s. He is the narrator of the story who can present himself as an affable public servant, though he enjoys killing guilty offenders. His voice and his bearing are authority incarnate in a patriarchal twentieth century kind of way. Vocal range: A2 -A4
Penelope Pennywise – F 30s-50s. The tough, jaded warden of the poorest, filthiest urinal in town. She runs her urinal with an iron fist but reveals a softer side later. Vocal range: A3-C6
Bobby Strong – M 20s-30s. A brash and optimistic young man who works for Ms. Pennywise at the urinal. He becomes a revolutionary who falls in love with Hope and raises the poor in idealistic revolt against Urine Good Company. Vocal range: A2-C5
Hope Cladwell – F 20s. Caldwell B. Cladwell’s daughter. She is beautiful, innocent and naïve, but finds a steel spine when she discovers her father’s evil. She joins Bobby Strong’s revolution to bring down Urine Good Company. Vocal range: A3-A5
Caldwell B. Cladwell – M 50s-60s. The evil President of the Urine Good Company. He is a miserly money-grubber who gleefully exploits the poor. Vocal range: A2 to G4
Little Sally – F Teens. Another of our narrators, she asks precocious questions of Officer Lockstock and questions the play’s logic. She is young, but smarter than other kids her age. Vocal range: A3-E5
Mr. McQueen – M 30s-40s. Cladwell’s sycophantic lackey. A servile assistant. Vocal range: B2-E4
Senator Flipp – M 40s-50s. A greedy politician in Cladwell’s pocket. A bumbling coward. Vocal range: C#3-F4
Officer Barrel – M 20s-40s. Lockstock’s patrol partner. A thuggish and aggressive policeman. Vocal range: G2-F4
Hot Blades Harry – M 40s-60s. One of the Poor. He is psychologically unstable and can become a violent loose cannon. Possibly doubles as Old Man Strong, Bobby’s father who refuses at his peril to bow to the Urine Good Company. Vocal range: A2-F4

Dr. Billeaux – M 30s-50s. Head of Research and Development at Urine Good Company. Possibly doubles with Tiny Tom. Vocal range: A3 to E3
Tiny Tom – One of the Poor. An idiotic man-child. Possible doubling as Dr. Billeaux. Vocal range: D3 to A3
Soupy Sue – F 20s-40s. One of the Poor. She is excitable and easily panicked. Possible doubling with Caldwell’s Secretary. Vocal range: Bb3 to B4
Little Becky Two-shoes – F 20s-40s. She is one of the Poor. She is foul-mouthed, impulsive and accusatory. Possibly doubles as Mrs. Millenium. Vocal range: Bb3 to F5
Josephine “Ma” Strong – F 50s-60s. Bobby’s mother and Old Man Strong’s wife. She is a strong willed woman with a bite, able to withstand the hard hand life has dealt her. Doubles as Old Woman. Vocal range: Bb3 to D5
Ensemble – Cladwell’s Secretary, Mrs. Milleinium, Robby the Stockfish, Billy Bay Bill, various members of the Poor, as well as Police and UCG Executives. Some may double with other characters. Vocal range is open.
