Seeking
Women Actors of all ages and types. We support non-traditional casting.

Please note that we cannot offer housing; therefore, preference will be given to local actors. Thank you.

Preparation
Please prepare one contemporary monologue of your choosing and one monologue from Top Girls.

First Rehearsal: May 18th 2015.
Previews: July 2nd, 3rd, and 5th 2015.
Opening Night: July 10th 2015.
Closing Date (with Extension): August 9th 2015

Breakdown

Isabella Bird - (1831-1904) Lived in Edinburgh, travelled extensively between the ages of 40 and 70.

Lady Nijo - (b.1258) Japanese. Was an Emporor's Courtesan and later a Buddhist Nun who travelled on foot through Japan.

Dull Gre t- the subject of the Brueghel painting, Dulle Griet (women charging through hell and fighting the devils).

Pope Joan - Disguised as a man, is thought to have been Pope between 854-856.

Patient Griselda - Is the obedient wife whose story is told by Character in The Clerk's Tale of The Canterbury Tales.

*All principal actors will also play smaller supporting roles.
