Seeking (all roles are available):

Note: All must be excellent singers with a wide range, who can handle powerful solos and intricate harmonies with rhythmical precision. All must be able to read music, and should be able to move well and handle choreography with ease.

Jon:

29. Struggling composer, trying to make it in New York City. At a crossroads. Does he follow the corporate career path of his friend, or hold onto his dreams of being a composer? Though he has lived in New York for quite a while, he has an idealism that still radiates from him. But the anxiety of turning 30 is beginning to wear him down. He loves his friend and his girlfriend, but he ultimately loves his music most. It is what drives him. He can be a little self-involved, but that mostly comes from his passion for his work. There is quirky charm in his personality that makes him a guy people want to be around. Rock tenor. Note: Looking for an actor who has some basic piano-playing skills.

Michael:

30. Marketing executive. Jon’s best friend. Left acting, and has climbed the corporate ladder -- enjoying all the benefits along the way. Has made clear choices in his professional life, and has no regrets. Sophisticated, smart and savvy. Deeply devoted to Jon; believes in his talent. Michael has always been the one to hold everyone together, and likes to be the strong one. Has a hard time being vulnerable, even with his closest friend. Baritone.

Susan:

Late 20s - early 30. A dancer. Jon’s girlfriend. Has been trying to make it as a professional dancer in New York City, with little success. Sweet and sexy. Loves Jon, but has dreams of her own that she is not willing to give up for him. Sick of the city, and has found other teaching opportunities in Massachusetts. Ready to settle down and not live the “artist” life any longer. Has a bit of a fierce edge to her, and is very independent. Mezzo soprano w/belt.
