THE SEAGULL

The Seagull, a comedy by Anton Chekhov, performed in 1896 and published in Russian in 1904. The play deals with lost opportunities and the clash between generations. The main characters, all artists, are guests at a country estate.

SEEKING:

TRIGORIN. Any ethnicity. (35 to 55 years old) - Famous author. Loves to fish. Attracted to Arkadina, a popular actress.

SHAMRAEV. Any ethnicity. (40 to 60 years old) - Former military. Sorin's estate manager. A townie who's respected but disapproves of the artist life.

THE CHERRY ORCHARD

The play revolves around an aristocratic Russian landowner who returns to her family estate (which includes a large and well-known cherry orchard) just before it is auctioned to pay the mortgage.

SEEKING:

LOPAKHIN. Any ethnicity. (35 to 50 years old) - A practical merchant who buys the estate. Warm and cunning.
