THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX by Catherine Bush

Over a century after the Civil War, a young couple makes a journey of discovery while following in the footsteps of Robert E. Lee on his final retreat.

GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE - Late fifties. Commander of the Army of Northern Virginia. A man who has never surrendered. Intelligent. Physically and vocally powerful.

COLONEL WALTER TAYLOR - late twenties. Lee's aide de-camp and confidante. Honest and sincere. About to be married for the first time.

DR. JENNY WEEKS - late thirties. Attractive, intelligent, her patience is being tested. A bit love starved.

STEVE BEAU WEEKS - late thirties. Currently unemployed. Immature. Completely adrift and searching for something - what that is, he doesn't know.

CAPTAIN RUSSELL/CHIP EBERHEART - thirties. Actor plays two roles. Ruggedly handsome. A messenger in the confederate army, and a Historian who specialized in Robert E. Lee. Charming. His appearance belies his intelligence.
