SEEKING
One male (40s) and one female (60s or 70s) with strong British accents for roles in TEMPLE by Steve Waters. Local Hires preferred. Actors who participated in our open call earlier this year are already under consideration and are not required to attend this call.

BREAKDOWN
TEMPLE
1st Rehearsal: 3/21/2017 (Mostly evening and weekend rehearsals, some weekday afternoons.)

The Canon Chancellor: Male, 40s. In Church of England cathedrals, the Canon Chancellor (more usually known simply as the Chancellor) is one of the canons of the cathedral who has a particular responsibility for matters of education and scholarship, often acting as the cathedral librarian and archivist. The character is based upon Giles Frasier. He is highly educated, very left wing, outspoken , a man of conscience plugged into modern technology. He has very deep feelings toward Dean, something like a dysfunctional father/son relationship.
The Virger: Female, 60s or 70s. Virgers are lay people who are responsible for the upkeep of a house of worship, the care of church buildings, furnishings and sacred relics. Also for the preparations of the liturgy. She is more on the right wing side of things. Detail oriented, professional to the point of being brittle, stressed and deeply disappointed in Dean.
