SEEKING

City Theatre is Seeking 6 to 8 Actors: All types, any ethnicity- with strong comedic skills. Particularly interested in versatile, enthusiastic, diverse performers for Summer Shorts.

This annual Shorts presentation in its 27th year will feature 4 (out of the 8) short plays from local Miami playwrights that are the culmination of City Theatre’s HOMEGROWN playwright development program.

HOMEGROWN aims to nurture, elevate, and promote Miami’s writers from historically marginalized communities by providing the time, tools, and training to create their own body of work to diversify the national theater canon.

PREPARATION

2 contrasting monologues, not to exceed 3 minutes together and then 1 joke.

Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts 1300 Biscayne Blvd

Entrance located on 14th between Biscayne and Bayshore. Parking is metered street parking or parking garage. (Burns Green Room - Knight Concert Hall, enter by valet ramp on NE 14th Street between Biscayne Blvd and Bayshore Drive. You will go through security.)
