Seeking strong, experienced musical theatre performers for all roles. All ethnicities are encouraged to attend.

PREPARATION

Bring P&R and your own sheet music. Prepare a song in the style or from the show. Have your book of music in case other selections are requested.

SEEKING:
BRENDA, 25-35, savvy, sexy, and smart; strong dance ability, ballet technique a huge plus and all around great dancer; sultry/jazzy belt and mix; sings Don Juan, Some Cats Know, I'm a Woman. ETHNICITY: African-American or of African descent.

DELEE, 20-33, ; “The Shimmy Girl”; very sexy, but with a sweet innocence at her core; VERY strong dance ability; high belt and mix; sings Falling, Trouble, I'm a Woman. ETHNICITY: Caucasian or Asian.

PATTIE, 30-45, Attractive, real rock chops- the voice of experience; big belt and mix; moves well, sings Pearl's a Singer, I Keep Forgetting, Don't. ETHNICITY: Caucasian or Latina

B.J., Sexy, funny, and yet breaks hearts with her torch song; huge gospel voice, belts and mixes; vocal styling like Big Mama Thornton or Aretha Franklin; Moves well; sings Fools Fall in Love, Hound Dog, Saved. ETHNICITY: African-American or of African descent.

FRED, 30-50, father-like figure type, sultry low voice, solid; part of The Quartet, must be good with harmonies, e.g. The Drifters, The Coasters, etc.; attractive, moves very well, ; sings You're the Boss, Little Egypt; bass. ETHNICITY: African-American or of African descent.


KEN, 25-40, a smooth crooner; part of The Quartet, must be good with harmonies, e.g. The Drifters, The Coasters, etc.; attractive and very fit, strong jazz/ballet technique and partnering a plus; sings Spanish Harlem, Loving You, Poison Ivy; baritone. ETHNICITY: African-American or of African descent.

ADRIAN, 25-40, Energetic, leader of the group; part of The Quartet, must be good with harmonies, e.g. The Drifters, The Coasters, etc.; attractive and fit; Moves very well: sings Stand by Me, Youngblood, Love Potion #9; second tenor. ETHNICITY: African-American or of African descent.

VICTOR, 25-40, Bright comic energy; part of The Quartet, must be good with harmonies, e.g. The Drifters, The Coasters, etc.; attractive and fit; moves very well; carries most of the comedy in the show, but also has dramatic turn with a killer falsetto for “I Who Have Nothing”, also sings “D.W Washburn,” “Searchin’” ; tenor. ETHNICITY: African-American or of African descent.

MICHAEL, 25-40, Genuinely suave, no small bit of Elvis in his swagger; true rock 'n roll voice and very strong mover; must be very good with harmonies because he joins the quartet for some numbers, attractive and in great shape; sings Jailhouse Rock, Kansas City, Ruby; second tenor. ETHNICITY: Caucasian, Latin, or Asian.
