SEEKING
Seeking Equity actors for various roles, local DC area actors are strongly encouraged to audition.
PREPARATION
Prepare a 2 minute contemporary monologue. Bring picture and resume.

First Performance: September 9, 2019, performances are typically Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm, Saturdays at 3pm, and Sundays at 2p and 7p

BREAKDOWN
Role 1
Character is 40's, African American Woman, upper-middle class, the responsible one. Can come off as uptight, but it is just because she cares deeply about her family and feels responsible for taking care of everyone.
Role 2 (Role is Cast)
Character is 30's, African American Woman, The fun one. Always ready with some family gossip. Is jealous of her sister but would never admit it.
Role 3
Character is 40's, African American Man, Husband and Father. Seemingly laid back and carefree. Pays more attention than he gets credit for and is is a good partner to his wife.
Role 4
Character is late teens, African American Woman, The daughter of the couple. Precocious. Is self-aware and is unwilling to accept the stereotypical narrative being thrust upon her.
Role 5 (Role is Cast)
Character is 30's-50’s, Female, Caucasian . She is the de facto leader of the team.
Role 6
Character is 20’s - 40’s, Male, Caucasian. He’s pretty chill and has a millennial's attitude and understanding of the world.
Role 7
Character is 20’s - 40’s, Male, Caucasian. He’s a bit of a worrier and feels his status is under threat.
Role 8
Character is 20’s - 40's, Female, Caucasian, French/French accent . The newest member of the team. She’s very earnest and she tries hard to fit in with the group.
