La Mirada Theatre: Rehearsal: 3/26 Open: 4/12 Close: 5/5. Performances are Wednesday and Thursday night (7:30pm), Friday 8pm, Saturday 2pm and 8pm and Sunday matinee (2pm).

Breakdown
Milly – Adam’s spunky and independent bride. A sassy, but loving, country girl, she is pretty and energetic. Good actress able to move. Age: 25-35. Voice: Mezzo/Alto (original scoring is soprano). Dancing: Light.
Adam Pontipee – Strong, good looking mountain man with a strong baritone voice and good command of the stage. He has strong morals and old school standards. Age: 30-43. Voice: Baritone. Dancing: Light.
Alice – The youngest bride, she is the Preacher’s innocent daughter. Must be a strong comic actress with good timing, and a good dancer and singer. Age: 16-25. Dancing: Intense.
Dorcas – The eldest bride, she is sexy and cat-like, putting beau against beau. She sees herself as the Fair Maiden. Must be a strong dancer, singer actress, and does adagio. Age: 25-35. Dancing: Intense.
Ruth – She is the mother hen; caring for lost animals and friends. Must be a strong dancer, acrobat, strong actress, and singer. Age: 23-33. Dancing: Intense.
Liza – She is ditzy, a little klutzy, and will follow anyone anywhere. She is innocent and comedic. She has an eccentric dance style, and is an acrobat and singer. Age: 21-31. Dancing: Intense.
Martha – As Liza’s care-taker, she is the intelligent librarian-type, always full of information. Must be and excellent dancer, singer actress, and does adagio. Age: 19-29. Dancing: Intense.
Sarah – The girl most likely to do anything; she’s not bad, just anxious. Must be an acrobat, strong dancer, actress, and singer. Age: 18-28. Dancing: Intense.
Gideon – As the youngest brother, he is warm, poignant, innocent, and trusting. Must be a strong tenor, and excellent actor and dancer. Age: 16-26. Voice: Tenor. Dancing: Intense.
Benjamin – The second oldest brother. He is strong and bull-headed, the counterpart to Adam, and is sparring for head of the house. Must have a good voice and be a strong actor and dancer. Age: 28-40. Dancing: Intense.
Caleb – He is home-loving and the strong silent type; a Ferdinand the Bull. Must be a good dancer, acrobat, singer, and actor. Age: 26-38. Dancing: Intense.
Ephraim – Being the other half of Daniel, he is intelligent and warm. Must be an excellent dancer, a good singer, and an actor. Age: 22-32. Dancing: Intense.
Frank – He is a hot head and is always ready for a fight. Must be a strong acrobat and dancer, actor, and have a good voice. Age: 20-30. Dancing: Intense.
Male Suitor: Must be a strong dancer. Acrobatics and vocals a plus. Age: 20-30. Dancing: Intense.
Mr. Bixby: Conservative town folk in their 40's-5o's. Strong vocals and acting. Movement required.
