Derril Lark (he/him), 27, a PhD candidate in 19th Century Literature. Very bright, a little strange(though not for lack of trying). For a few months in high school he became obsessed with a girl. It ruined his life.

Annie Zahirovic (she/her), mid to late 30s, a former Assistant US Attorney, now a lobbyist for a major DC law firm. Came to the United States from Bosnia in 1997 when she was about 10. Fierce and Brilliant.

Alvaro Santos (he/him), late 30s to late 40s, a young and ambitious State's Attorney General.

Sarita Imari (she/her), late 20s, a chemist, sweet, quirky, the youngest child.

Eve Selinsky (she/her), 28, an art teacher, serious. Followed by Derril as a teenager. She's worked hard not to let it ruin her life.
