Breakdown

WENDY DARLING: AN ADULT TO PLAY 13-14. NO TALLER THAN 5’3”. Caucasian. There is a true sense of innocence and wonder to Wendy that makes the light in her eyes shine. She is very pretty, truly feminine, sweet and good natured. Easily assumes a maternal position in the world of Neverland. Mus.t have a strong command of language and be able to handle the dialect. It would be helpful if she moves well. HIGH ALTO. Please mark height on submission. Experience with aerial silks a plus

JOHN DARLING: Male or female. To play 10-13. NO TALLER THAN 5’2”. Caucasian. A young man on the verge of adolescence. A “know it all” boy with kindness and good intentions that make it all palatable. A proper, stuffy Brit with a well mannered edge. (Must not be afraid of heights). Moves well. British dialect. Please mark height on submission. Experience with aerial silks a plus

MICHAEL DARLING: Male or female. To play 6-8. NO TALLER THAN 4’8”. Caucasian. Steals your heart with his natural charm and adorable face. There is nothing slick or Hollywood about him. He has endearing spurts of energy. (Must not be afraid of heights) Moves well. British dialect. Please mark height on submission. Experience with aerial silks a plus

TIGER LILY/LIZA: An adult female to play 18-30. NO TALLER THAN 5’4”. A brilliant dancer who sings very well. Any ethnicity. Tiger Lily is sexy, fearless and spunky with an “other world” quality and a childlike sense of adventure. Liza is playful, efficient and proper. Must be good with a cockney accent. Please mark height on submission. Experience with aerial silks a plus

SMEE: 35-50. Any ethnicity. NO TALLER THAN 5’8”. Must be small enough for Hook to physically push around. An eccentric character man with great comedic skills and creativity. Loveable with a wonderful sense of play. Naturally quirky, not “all there” but it isn’t put on or “shticky”. Must be a strong actor and singer and be able to move well. British dialect. Please mark height on submission. Experience with aerial silks a plus

LOST BOYS: 20-30. Adult male or adult tomboy female NO TALLER THAN 5’4”. Open to all ethnicities. Must be a strong actor and singer and be able to move well. Tumbling, gymnastics,etc. a plus. There is a misfit quality to them and a childlike sense of play. Lots of energy and spunk. Musical instruments a plus (concertina, flute, etc.) British dialect. NOTE: One of the female Lost Boys will also understudy Tiger Lily. Please see the Tiger Lily breakdown above. One female Lost Boy will also understudy Ms. Rigby. Please mark height on submission. Experience with aerial silks a plus

PIRATE/INDIAN: 20-35 Male. Open to all ethnicities. Triple threats: extremely strong technically trained male ballet dancers who sing very well and have acting skills. These men were all previously captains of their own ships, so they must have that leadership quality. Acrobatic skills a plus. The show is physically demanding so you must be in excellent condition. We are especially seeking tenors, but all vocal ranges are encouraged to submit. Musical instruments a plus (concertina, flute, etc.). Various dialects needed. Please mark height on submission. STARKEY/HOOK UNDERSTUDY: 30-45 Caucasian male. One actor to play Starkey the Pirate and understudy Hook/ Mr. Darling. Strong singing and acting skills required. Starkey was previously captain of his own ship, so he must have strong leadership qualities and a commanding presence. Also, see Hook/Darling breakdown above. British dialect. HIGH BARITONE. Experience with aerial silks a plus

FEMALE INDIAN/MRS. DARLING UNDERSTUDY: 20-35. Adult dancer/actress. Please see above breakdowns for Mrs. Darling and Indians. British dialect. Experience with aerial silks a plus

JOHN AND MICHAEL DARLING UNDERSTUDY: Please see breakdowns above. One child will travel with the show and understudy both roles. Experience with aerial silks a plus

SWINGS: One male and one female to cover all roles with the exception of Hook, Mrs. Darling, Michael and John. Experience with aerial silks a plus
