Maria Rainer, 20-27 any ethnicity. Strong actor and strong legit singer- soprano, free spirited, warm and kind, a novice who has used her resourcefulness, intelligence and inner confidence to overcome the difficulties of her early life. Very interested in all ethnicities.

Little Shop of Horrors

Seymour Krelborn- very interested in all ethnicities. An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. Gender: male, all ethnicities. Age: 25 to 35. Vocal range top: G4

Audrey- very interested in all ethnicities. Secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but an incredibly good heart and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. Gender: female, all ethnicities. Age: 25 to 35. Vocal range top: D5

Orin Scrivello- very interested in all ethnicities. An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. Gender: male, all ethnicities. Age: 30 to 40. Vocal range top: G4

Voice Of The Plant. An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best. Gender: Very interested in a female voice (i.e. Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Lizzo…) and also open to a male voice (James Brown, Bruno Mars…). Age: 20 to 50. Vocal range top: G4

Crystal - African-American. Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon are street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality. Gender: female. Age: 20 to 30. Vocal range top: F5

NICK: 30 to 40’s male. Any ethnicity. A writer. Nigel’s older brother. He holds a grudge against Shakespeare. Seeking a great comedic actor who sings and dances very well. Very interested in all ethnicities.

NIGEL: 25 to 35 male. Any ethnicity. A writer. Nick’s younger brother. Sweet and a little awkward. He is in love with Portia. Seeking a great comedic actor who sings very well. Very interested in all ethnicities.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE: 30 to 40’s Male. Any ethnicity. Over the top, cocky, a true rock star of his time. He is the renaissance Mick Jagger. Seeking a great comedic actor who sings and dances very well. Very interested in all ethnicities.

PORTIA: 20’s-30’s Female. A beautiful puritan woman. She is innocent and loves poetry. Seeking a great comedic actress that sings very well. Very interested in all ethnicities.
