In the course of the play, the above characters might assume any of the following tracks. All three actors will need to be able to play all of these characters simply and naturally:
Track #1: DONTÉ - a sensitive young Black queer man
Track #2: MOM - Donté’s mother, very caring, overly worried
BANJII CUNT AT THE CENTER - a queer feminine and flamboyant man with a quick tongue TRADE - a genuinely tough, ‘hood’ gay man into rough, anonymous sex
PERSON AT BAR - could be any type
Track #3: BARTENDER - at Donté’s favorite bar, professional but genuine
NURSE - overworked and it shows, can be at times both manic and a nurturer
KINDA EX-BOYFRIEND - loving but scared
MARRIED MAN AT THE CENTER - though a nice guy, can be matter-of-fact and easily annoyed
PSM and ASM positions are currently open.
This production is committed to inclusive and authentic casting and to equal opportunity employment. HIV+ and GBTQ-identifying actors strongly encouraged to submit.
