Preparation
Something in the general style of the show (e.g. contemporary musical theater or a selection from NEXT TO NORMAL). A pop/rock song is fine as long as it shows range. More than one option is always good.

La Mirada Theatre: Rehearsal: 5/14 Open: 5/31 Close: 6/23 Performances are Wednesday and Thursday night (7:30pm), Friday 8pm, Saturday 2pm and 8pm and Sunday matinee (2pm).

Breakdown
Diana: Late 30s-40s, is a sexy, sharp wife and mother, afflicted with bipolar depression and delusions for nearly 16 years. Intense, huge emotional range, ironic and funny. Strong Pop/Rock Alto with a high belt or a very strong mix. Exceptional part singing skills.
Natalie: Early 20’s to play 16. The daughter. Genius, trying to be perfect, stressful, rebellious at times, coping as best she can. Strong Pop/Rock Alto with a high belt or a very strong mix. Exceptional part singing skills.
Gabe: 20’s to play 18. The son.. Charming, gentle, bright and playful, mischievous, very winning, the all-star. Pop/Rock Tenor with a strong Falsetto. Exceptional part singing skills.
Dan: Late 30s-40s. The husband. Tries to be supportive and optimistic despite his wife’s crippling illness, handsome, genuine and constant, caretaker, workhorse. Tenor with both traditional and Pop/Rock skills. Exceptional part singing skills.
Henry: Early 20’s to play 17. Natalie's boyfriend. Musician, romantic, stoner, slacker, philosopher king, supportive of Natalie. Pop/Rock Tenor. Exceptional part singing skills.
Doctor Madden: 30-45. Diana’s unconventional new doctor, on the young side of ageless, charming, assured, a rock star. Pop/Rock Tenor. Exceptional part singing skills.
