BREAKDOWN

GYPSY:

LOUISE - 18+ to play Louise, a teenager who grows up to be Gypsy Rose Lee. Still pushed aside by Madam Rose in favor of June, until she herself becomes her mother's new pet project. Able to move well. Minimum actual dance but very strong movement skills. Appears as both an awkward teen and a sophisticated woman we know now as Gypsy Rose Lee. Must dance inside a dancing cow costume. The character is very scantily clad but never actually appears in the nude. Mezzo (needs light sound for Little Lamb and belt for Let Me Entertain You.) Female, Age: 18 to 28 (Vocal range: C# to Eb)

HERBIE - The agent for Rose's children, Rose's boyfriend, and a possible husband number 4. He has a heart of gold but also has the power to defend the people he loves with strength. Minimum dance. A Baritone who sings in one group number, two duets and trio with Rose and Louise. Strong acting role. Male, Age: 40 to 60 (Vocal range: Baritone)

TESSIE TURA - A stripper just past her prime. Big Broadway voice (Mezzo Belt), strong movement/dance, ballet training helpful. A burlesque dancer that shares her dressing room with Louise. She was once a ballerina and still has some of the moves. A course broad who's been around the block. Very funny. Will also play Miss Crachitt - Secretary at Grantziger’s Palace. Female, Age: 30 to 50s (Vocal range: C# to Db)

MAZEPPA - A stripper just past her prime. Big Broadway voice (Alto Belt), strong movement/dance, powerful character. A burlesque dancer who's tough and physically intimidating. Trumpet playing skills would be outstanding but not required. Female, Age: 30 to 50s [Vocal range: G (below middle C) to Bb]

9 to 5:

VIOLET - The company's Head Secretary and Mr. Hart's Administrative Assistant, she is a single mother and typically stands up for what she believes in. Attractive, strong, ambitious. Female, Age: 40 to 50 (Vocal range: F3 to D5)

DORALEE - A young, sexy spitfire who works at Mr. Hart's office. She is proof that there is more to a woman than just her looks. Female, Age: 20 to 30 (Vocal range: G3 to E5)

JUDY - The new girl at the firm, she has been burned by her husband's affair and is searching for personal empowerment. Insecure, determined, and hopeful. Female, Age: 30 to 35 (Vocal range: Ab3 to F5)

FRANKLIN HART, JR. - One of the firm's executives and a notorious chauvinist. He is capable of faking charm but usually shows his true colors as an arrogant, self-absorbed boss. Male, Age: 40 to 50 (Vocal range: C3 to Gb4)

Disney's FROZEN:

ELSA - Elsa is next in line for the throne and has been born with magical powers that can overwhelm her when she becomes afraid and harm others if not handled with care. Fearful of hurting anyone, especially her beloved sister, Anna, Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn as she grows older, before eventually learning to take control of, and become confident in, her powers. (Vocal range: F#3 to D5)

ANNA - Anna who is filled with a tremendous amount of light, energy, and love. She is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert at all ages, but as she grows older, she longs for connection with others, especially her sister, Elsa. A strong singer with great comic timing. (Vocal range: G3 to D5)

KRISTOFF - Kristoff is a hardworking ice harvester who has a sarcastic veneer and a rough-around the-edges exterior that hides a big heart. Taken in by the Hidden Folk when he was young, he loves Pabbie and Bulda dearly, but is a bit of a loner with a reindeer for a best friend- until he meets Anna. (Vocal range: G2 to A3)

HANS - The ambitious Prince of the Southern Isles and overlooked thirteenth son of a king. Hans constantly strives to find a way to make good and stand out. He boasts an exceedingly charming facade that fools everyone - including Anna and, ideally, the audience! - into believing he's Prince Charming, when really, he's just a jerk. (Vocal range: G2 to B3)

Roald Dahl's MATILDA:

MRS. WORMWOOD - Matilda's self-absorbed, negligent mother and an amateur ballroom dancer. Female, Age: 35 to 45 (Vocal range: A3 to F5)

**TRUNCHBULL (has been cast) - The tyrannical headmistress at Matilda’s school who despises children. Female, Age: 33 to 55 (Vocal range: A2 to G4)

BEAUTIFUL: The Carole King Musical

CAROLE KING - An aspiring singer/songwriter. A unique, appealing, funny and vulnerable girl from a Jewish family in Brooklyn. Talented, good natured, unassuming, and often the peace maker in difficult situations. A reluctant star with no pretense and a passion for music. Female, Age: 18 to 30 (Vocal range: Eb3 to Eb5)

GERRY GOFFIN - Carole’s boyfriend, songwriting partner and eventual husband. Innately sympathetic, wounded and tortured. An ambitious artist always striving for more. Male, Age: 18 to 30 (Vocal range: D3 to A4)

BARRY MANN - A songwriter who becomes romantically involved with Cynthia. He is good natured, appealing & neurotic. Ambitious, but likeable. Male, Age: 18 to 30 (Vocal range: C3 to A4)

CYNTHIA WEILL - A songwriter who becomes romantically involved with Barry. Carole’s best friend. She is sophisticated, smart & chic with a quick wit. Although self-confident and sarcastic, she is also extremely likeable. Female, Age: 18 to 30 (Vocal range: G3 to E5)
