Childhood best friends Matthias and Aloysius must pass the ultimate test to procure a wife: a mother’s intuition. This world premiere queer twist on Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest is a Victorian frenzy of missing butlers, slamming doors, mistaken identities, and one shocking oil painting.

Seeking:

The Honourable Matthias Manley: A hideously nervous yet suave gentleman. Determined to prove himself in his own right. 28.

The Honourable Aloysius Thurston: A man of luxury with perhaps too few cares in the world. Lives off his parents’ wealth. 29.

The Honourable Mary Molly Houseington: Tries her hardest to be what people want her to be, especially her mother, and remain as callous as possible. 26.

The Honourable Genevieve Houseington: A radiant and relaxed woman who is smarter than she seems. 24.

The Viscountess Petunia Houseington: The utmost example of high society. A raging conservative. How dare you ask her age (48.)

Baroness Ella Manley: Oblivious. Has seen hard times and chooses not to think on them. 60.

Baroness Bertha Thurston: Has worked very hard to attain her status and will work just as hard to maintain it. Throws shade. 54.
