Preparation

Prepare either
1) A brief contemporary monologue; or
2) A brief song; or
3) A one minute contemporary monologue and 16 bars of a song.

THE UNDERPANTS (Co-Production with Hartford Stage)

Louise Maske – Very pretty, mid-twenties, Theo’s wife.

Seeking:
Troy Maxson – 53 years old, a large man with thick, heavy hands.
Jim Bono – Troy’s friend.
Rose – Troy’s wife. Early 40s.
Lyons – Troy’s oldest son from a previous marrage. Mid-30s.
Gabriel – Troy’s brother. 46. Injured in the war.

THE CONSULTANT.

1st Rehearsal December 10, 2013. RunsJanuary 8, 2014 – February 9, 2014.

Seeking:
Amelia - early 20s, whip-smart but awkward small-town girl who has just moved to NYC to pursue a PhD in Public Service and save the world. Constantly broke, she moonlights as an ESL teacher. Great comic sensibility, weirdness and attention to language important.

Jun Suk - late 30s, Korean American, former star at his advertising firm who is now going through a nasty divorce and about to lose his job. Deeply depressed, he cannot fathom how his life came to this but masks his despair with a dry sense of humor.

Tania - late 30s, acerbic, overeducated receptionist who is open to her life changing in a profound way, but unsure how to go about it. Confident, sexy and intensely fragile.

Mark - late 30s, early 40s, successful ad exec who is determined to save his friend Jun Suk's job. Outwardly arrogant and a little dickish, he actually spends most of his time caring for his sick mother.

Barbara - 50s, 60s, a former ad exec who quit Corporate America to relentlessly pursue her bliss. She is voluble, passionate and full of life- changing advice for anyone who cares to listen. Facility with language very important.

Bec – 20, female, strong, beautiful and hale, not chubby, somewhat strung out.
Amanda – 19, but maybe looks younger? Chinese-American.
