2012-13 Season includes:
SATCHMO AT THE WALDORF. By Terry Teachout.
Director: Gordon Edelstein.

Louis Armstrong / Joe Glaser:
[CAST]. Actors auditioning may be considered for possible replacement if needed.
THE KILLING OF SISTER GEORGE
By Frank Marcus. Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher.
Director: Kathleen Turner.
1st rehearsal: October 30, 2012. Runs November 28, 2012 – December 23, 2012.
The following roles have been CAST. Actors auditioning will be considered for possible replacments if needed.
Alice 'Childie' McNaught
CAST. Late 30s, June's longtime flat mate and lover. Alice seems the submissive of the pair, in need of protection and provides the 'wifely' duties of the household. Deceptively childlike. In truth well able to look out for her own interests.
Mrs. Mercy Croft
CAST. 50s, Assistant Head of the BBC. Has a radio show of her own, offering 'sensible' advice. Wields a great deal of power, knows it and enjoys it. Pleasant, elegant exterior, small minded, smug soul.
Madame Xenia
CAST. 50-60s, June and Alice's downstairs neighbor. Practicing clairvoyant of foreign origin.
June's confidant and greatest supporter. May have extraordinary manner.
June Buckeridge
CAST (Kathleen Turner). 50s, a radio actress on a long running BBC soap opera, she plays the no-nonsense district nurse, 'Sister George'. In private a somewhat difficult personality, sometimes crude and dominating, at others curiously simple and needy. Herself image is inextricably mixed with 'Sister George'.
** Please note that an Off-Broadway Agreement production of this version of THE KILLING OF SISTER GEORGE is expected to begin rehearsals in January 2013 with the same cast as the Long Wharf Theatre production (plus understudies)
JANUARY JOINER. By Laura Jacqmin.
Director: Eric Ting
1st rehearsal: December 11, 2012. Runs: January 9, 2013 – February 10, 2013.
Seeking:
Myrtle
30s. An overweight woman who also happens to be very pretty. Has an office job in NYC. Easily hurt.
Terry
Myrtle’s sister. Also 30s, but 2-3 years older than Myrtle. Heavier than Myrtle, and very aware of it. Probably an office manager in a small city in Ohio: Akron or Toledo, probably.
April
Late 20s/early 30s. Any ethnicity. Boot camp coach. More skinny than athletic: she’s technically a “skinny fat person,” and hates it. If she was a guy, people would call her a hard-ass, but she’s not, so they call her a bitch. Good at her job.
Brian
Late 20s/early 30s. Any ethnicity. Boot camp coach. That incredibly gorgeous guy who everyone simultaneously wants to be around and is afraid to be around. Probably on the muscle-bound side as opposed to the slim side. Not the sharpest nail in the box, but not dumb. Good at his job.
Not-Terry
She’s not Terry. Any ethnicity: should be different than Terry’s. Also 30s. Thinner than Terry or Myrtle, but still not thin. More comfortable with herself. Also plays the HOLY-SHIT-GHOST.
The following role has been CAST. Actors may be considered for possible replacement if needed:
Darnell
[CAST] 30s/40s. Any ethnicity. A very overweight man. Chipper and cheerful. Successful in his field; works from home, an expensive condo overlooking the river in Minneapolis. Accepting of his weight
