I'm Still Getting My Act Together
first rehearsal 9/15/15 runs 10/7/15 - 11/1/15
HEATHER: female, 39 years old, formerly a soap opera star, now a caberet singer who is attempting to put her new act together. Good singer, good sense of comedy, unruly curly hair, is attractive but has thrown away all artifice, wanting to redefine herself.
JOE: male, 35 years old, HEATHER's manager. Macho, charismatic, earnestly concerned and frustrated by Heather's new act. Good comic timing.

first rehearsal 12/16/15 runs 1/6/16 - 1/31/16
HE: male, 50-60 years old. An older Baby Boomer who has enjoyed a privileged roll of history's dice. A successful author & playwright, although never quite as successful as he believes he deserves to be. Might be British, might be Upper East Side. Clever, vain, witty, self-obsessed, charming, indulgent, flirtatious, he is one of those men who is delightful to sit next to at a dinner party and perhaps less delightful to live with.

MISS EDWARDS: female, 55-68 years old, a veteran public high school English teacher. Matter-of-fact as opposed to no-nonsense; a sense of irony and humor. Profanity should seem a little foreign to her lips. Her vulnerability punctuates her command of the classroom.
JOE MARKS: male, 17-18 years old (* actor must be 18+), graduating high school basketball MVP. Academic underachiever but smart, charmingly confident as opposed to cocky.
HANNAH WINTERS: female, 17-18 years old (*actor must be 18+), JOE's cheerleader love interest. At times, she is Every Cheerleader, and JOE and MISS EDWARDS' muse. A bright girl-next-door, as positive as she is flexible, wholesome as she is unconciously sexy.
