The maximum capacity in the audition room is: 6

SYNOPSIS:

Much like the US government, two BFFS find themselves in a crisis of integrity, whatever the hell THAT means. Two actresses and an adorable amorous puppet play all twenty roles in this whirlwind play about pretty lies and ugly truths.

PLEASE NOTE: This play features intimate moments. The production staff will include an accredited Intimacy Director and all concerns from the cast will be absolutely considered in the staging of this production. All potential cast members will have ample opportunity to review the script and address any questions/concerns with the director and STT staff before accepting any roles and beginning rehearsals.

Video Submission Option:

If unable to attend the auditions in person, please email a video submission of the sides you the role you are auditioning for to the email below. Videos should consist of a slate and your choice of sides. Please use a reader, if available, and include a headshot and resume via email submission.

Submission Deadline: 2/7/23

SUBMIT TO: jobs@secondthoughttheatre.com

SEEKING:

Except for the character of Edward Snowden, Mimi and April play all the roles. Sometimes they swap roles for a line or two. Sometimes they combine efforts to create a third character. This isn’t like double casting so much as it’s like a one-woman show with two-women.

MIMI: 20’s, probably White, plays MIMI most of the time.

APRIL: 20’s, probably not White, plays APRIL most of the time.

EDWARD SNOWDEN: enters via the TV to play the Edward of Mimi’s dreams at the end of Act One. Then—and stay with me—in Acts Two and Three, that male actor voices Edward Snowden as a very cute teddy bear puppet.
