SEEKING

Equity actor to play Claudius in HAMLET.

CLAUDIUS: 50s. Smart, powerful, strategic, ambitious, compelling. A man of action. On the outside a likeable guy, you’d like to have a drink with, inside he is a master manipulator who abhors weakness in others and doesn’t let himself have any in himself.

PREPARATION

Please prepare the sides that will be emailed when appointment is confirmed. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

Generally, rehearsals are Tuesday-Friday 3:30 -8:30, Saturdays and Sundays 11-5

Performances Thursdays (7:30pm), Fridays (8:00pm), Saturdays (8:00pm), Sundays (2:00pm)

BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.
