All roles will be understudied.

For Guys & Dolls or Ain't Misbehavin: Approx. 1-2 minute cut from your book in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in your key. Accompanist will be provided. For The Audience: 1-2 minute monologue in the style of the show. Bring your current headshot and resume.

SEEKING:

NICELY -NICELY JOHNSON (30-45) Just like his name suggests, he is the nicest and cheeriest of the gambling crooks. High-spirited and a bit naïve, but sincere and genuine. Nathan’s loyal friend and lackey. Vocal Range: D4-B5

BENNY SOUTHSTREET (30-45) Nathan’s right-hand man and a gambler himself. Smart, slick, always moving and shaking, but with what he thinks are Nathan’s best interest at heart. Vocal Range: D4-G5

SARAH BROWN (20-30) A bright-eyed woman who serves as Sergeant of the local Mission. She fully believes in her worthy cause and wishes to convert the gambling sinners to saints. Falls unexpectedly in love with Sky along the way. Vocal Range: B3-G5

ARVIDE ABERNATHY (50-65) The bass drum and cymbal player in the Mission band, he is Sarah’s loving grandfather. Wise and sweet, he wants nothing but the best for her. Vocal Range D4-F5

HARRY THE HORSE (35-55) A crook and gambler. He is a tough guy with dollar signs as his bottom line. Brings Big Jule into Nathan’s craps game and backs his cheating but is also a man of his word in the gambling community. Vocal Range: F3-G5

LT. BRANNIGAN (40-55) A New York police officer who is on to Nathan’s illegal craps games and is dead-set on catching him. A tough, no-nonsense character.

NATHAN DETROIT (35-45) A good-hearted gambler and craps game organizer who could never hit the bigtime. He loves Adelaide, but cannot quit his gambling ways. A broke schemer with unwitting ways. D4-F5

MISS ADELAIDE (25-35) Nathan’s fiancé and a lead performer at the Hot Box nightclub. She loves Nathan more than anything in the world and desperately wants to get married. Outspoken and stubborn. A3-E5

SKY MASTERSON (35-45) A high-stakes gambler whose luck never seems to run out, and a wild card who surprises himself when he falls in love with the unlikeliest of women. Suave and smart. B3- E5

BIG JULE (30-50) A big time craps player from Chicago who uses a gun and his own pair of rigged dice to bully his way into never losing. Tough looking. A bit of an oaf. Vocal Range: G5-F3

ANDRÉ (25-45, Black) An unrepentant party hound, he is flirt and seducer. Vocal Range: G2-E6

ARMELIA (25-45, Black) Bold and strong-willed, she is not afraid to share her thoughts. Vocal Range: G3-C6

CHARLAINE (18-30, Black) A sweet, innocent, lady. Vocal Range: G3-G5

KEN (25-45, Black) Jovial, cheerful, and loud, he is larger than life. Vocal Range D3-C6

NELL (30-45, Black) Confident and charming. A knowledgeable woman of the world. Vocal Range: F3 -F5

SEEKING:

NOTE: Some roles may internally understudy other principal roles.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II (to play 25-86) Queen of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms from February 6, 1952 – September 8, 2022. She has a deep sense of religious and civic duty and keeps her personal opinions private. She has a sense of humor that survived her 60 years of public life.

YOUNG ELIZABETH (11) The role of Young Elizabeth will be cast at another date. Young Performers should not attend the EPA to be consider for this role. Auditions for Young Elizabeth will be held in early 2024, date TBD.

EQUERRY (40+) Ex-Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy, now an officer of the British royal household, he attends to the royal family. The Equerry often serves as a narrator between scenes.

JOHN MAJOR (52) A quiet, worried man who left school just before turning 16. He is unassuming and decent, a rare trait in politicians.

WINSTON CHURCHILL (60+) An august, elderly man, his aging condition has not diminished his enormous presence. We see him as he was in 1952 after George VI’s death and before Elizabeth’s coronation.

HAROLD WILSON (Late 40s) Narrowly won the election for the Labor party in 1964. He plays the ‘ill bred ruffian’ but is a fine intellect. Later resigns due to his Alzheimer's diagnoses.

BOBO MacDONALD (40+) Scottish nanny, servant, confidante and dresser to Elizabeth. GORDON BROWN (58) A dour Scottish academic, anxious.

ANTHONY EDEN (59) 1956 during the Suez crisis, he is dashing, aristocratic, and near to the breaking point.

TONY BLAIR/DAVID CAMERON (40-55) We meet Blair during his proposal to support the United States and invade Iraq. In 2015, it is Cameron’s last audience before exiting civil service.

MARGARET THATCHER (61) A woman at the height of her political career and of almost equal iconic power to the Queen.
