SEEKING
Comedic musical theatre actors for two roles, . Both roles are male, any race, ages 20-30’s Bari tenors. See breakdown.
PREPARATION
Please prepare a 1-minute comedic monologue and 30 to 60 seconds of a song from a musical. Comic songs or serious songs done comically are recommended. An accompanist will be provided at auditions and callbacks.

Performances are Thursday-Saturday at 8:00PM; Sundays at 2:00PM
Due to small cast size, weekday rehearsal schedule will be created in consultation with the actors' availability. Weekend rehearsals will take place during the day.

BREAKDOWN
Gutenberg! The Musical! is written by Scott Brown and Anthony King. Brown and King developed the show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City.
Doug and Bud have written an exciting new show (about the invention of the printing press) and they want to present it for the first time. With any luck, they will be taking their show to Broadway!
DOUG SIMON is an innocent. He's a naïve, utterly sincere and earnest man who never met a cause he wasn't passionate about.
BUD DAVENPORT is an innocent. He's eager to please and thrives on approval.
David A. Miller (Director) has directed many productions for Amphibian, including Nosemaker's Apprentice: Chronicles of a Medieval Plastic Surgeon, Wittenberg, Below the Belt, and Gutenberg! Rebecca Lowrey (Music Director) earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (with a minor in Business Administration) from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She most recently directed The Rocky Horror Show (NTPA Repertory) and Plaid Tidings (Theatre Arlington) and a few of her recent credits as music director includePutting It Together (ONSTAGE in Bedford); The Drowsy Chaperone, Mary Poppins, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Fantasticks, and Billy Elliot (Firehouse Theatre); Urinetown and Nunsense (Theatre Arlington); Cabaret (Runway Theatre); Legally Blonde and Hello, Dolly! (Denton Community Theatre); and Spamalot (GLCT). In 2018, she won the Column Award for Best Musical Director – Equity for her work on A Man of No Importance (Brick Road Theatre). She has also served as pianist for many area churches and accompanies for UIL solo competitions in the DFW Metroplex. Rebecca’s day job at Romeo Music combines her passion for technology with her love of teaching and performing.
