The Last Act of Lilka Kadison is a humorous and touching memory play about grace in the face of loss, as Lilith wrestles with ghosts of her past and present, 70 years after she fled Poland on the eve of WWII at the age of 17. Written by Nicola Behrman, David Kersnar, Abbie Phillips, Heidi Stillman, and Andy White, directed by Dan Bonnell, and produced by the Falcon Theatre with Abbie Philips and Jan Kallish in association with Lookingglass Theatre Company

The Last Act of Lilka Kadison
Lilith Fisher: female, 87, Jewish grandmother of Polish descent, currently (2009) living in North Hollywood and battling to keep her independence, onstage the entire play--it is her memory we are exploring.
Menelik Khan: male, 33, of Pakistani descent, Jewish Family Services care worker in present day, mildy depressed, mildly belligerent.
Ben Ari Adler: male, 21, Polish traveling theater performer, living in the 1930's, a modernist Bundist, pro-culture, anti-religion, a little sassy, super smart.
Lilka Kadison, female, seeking actress 18 or over to play 17, beautiful, traditional young Jewess and budding writer living in a small Polish village in the 1930's, pulled between the deep yearnings of an excellent brain and the responsibilites of being a young Jewish woman.
