Breakdown

Jesse (mid-to-late 20’s) – He's short. Jewish. Somewhat annoying. Charismatic with a big ego. Great songwriter.

Fatman Freddie (mid-to-late 20’s) – Jesse’s writing partner. A large white guy with the soul of a black guy.

Stan (47) – A songwriter from the earlier heyday of Tin Pan Alley. He's much squarer than the other songwriters.

Cheryl (20’s ) – African-American. Pretty with a great voice

Oliver (50’s-60’s) – A gray flannel suit of a man.

Doreen and Satin (20’s) – Along with Cheryl, they work as secretaries and back-up demo singers at Edie’s company

Songwriters (20’s) - A collection of four social misfits and unhip hipsters. They are all Jewish guys from Brooklyn. And great musicians. 3 of the 4 must play piano very well. One will play Sonny (early 20’s) – A very traditional, working class Italian-American guy from Jersey.

Frances Eden (20’s) – A very pretty (probably blonde) teenage idol who looks great in a bikini.

Frankie Fontana (Early 20's) – An Italian-American teen idol from Philadelphia.

Betty (30’s) – Frankie Fontana’s mom and manager
