SEEKING:

[ENSEMBLE AND SWINGS] - Any genders and ethnicities, ages 18 and up. Knights of the Round Table, Lords and Ladies of the court, and townspeople. All have strong legit musical theatre voices.

ENSEMBLE MAY COVER THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

[KING ARTHUR] – Character is male (cis or transgender), 20s, ANY ETHNICITY. Arthur is intelligent, compassionate, appealing and incredibly unsure of himself. He is still struggling to grow up from the scrappy, vulnerable underdog who pulled the sword from the stone and into a leader worthy of his royal title and his power. Great with language and comedy, with a sense of musicality for the songs, but singing voice is much less important than a captivating and charismatic ability for telling story / exploring character through musical moments.

[GUENEVERE] – Character is female (cis or transgender), 20s, ANY ETHNICITY. A passionate and frequently underestimated young princess. Frustrated with expectations, she looks to carve her own path with her sharp intellect and wit. Great with language and comedy. This is not a GUENEVERE we’ve seen before. A beautiful and expressive singing voice.

[LANCELOT] – Character is male (cis or transgender), 20s, ANY ETHNICITY. A power-house knight from France. Attractive and cocky but loyal, he has a profound sense of duty. His love for Guenevere eventually becomes his downfall. Has a soaring voice.

[MERLYN / PELLINORE] – Character is any gender, 50s-70s, ANY ETHNICITY. Arthur’s teacher and esteemed advisor. Has a sense of humor, even in the face of great danger. Wise and powerful, but has no sense of personal grandeur or formality. PELLINORE, A knight on a fool’s mission, just like their father. Not quite in touch with reality, but good hearted. Great with language and comedy. No singing.

[SIR DINADAN] - Character is any gender, 20s to 40s, ANY ETHNICITY. A knight of the round table. Physically impressive. Not necessarily the most intellectual of the knights. Has a strong voice, skill with language, and is great with comedy.

[SIR LIONEL] - Character is any gender, 20s to 40s, ANY ETHNICITY. A knight of the round table. Physically impressive. The most thoughtful of the knights, believes in a firm class order. Has a strong voice, skill with language, and is great with comedy.

[SIR SAGRAMORE] - Character is any gender, 20 to 40s, ANY ETHNICITY. A knight of the round table. Physically impressive. The most hot tempered of the group. Has a strong voice, skill with language, and is great with comedy.

[MORDRED] – Character is male (cis or transgender), teens to early 20s, any ethnicity. The illegitimate son of King Arthur. A deeply troubled young man, vengeful and full of resentment. Singularly focused on his hatred for his father. Has a good voice, skill with language, and is great with comedy.

[MORGAN LE FAY] - Character is female (cis or transgender), Mid 30s-50s, any ethnicity. She was Arthur’s first love and is the mother of his son. A lifetime of heartbreak and poverty has shaped her world view. She is in control of her sensuality. No singing.

[TOM OF WARWICK] - Character is male (cis or transgender), 10-12, any ethnicity. A young boy who’s left his family to fight for the round table. Pure of heart, a great future leader, terribly brave for his age and size. Strong singer.
