Synopsis: New York City, 1963. A time of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan, when “every morning we rose with hope that we could change the world or at least one mind…”
Walk up six floors to a less than efficient efficiency apartment. Encounter two newlyweds, one with a zest for life, the other a straight laced lawyer, both deeply in love. Enter a nervous mother, an eccentric neighbor, and an arctic storm. Neil Simon’s sparkling comedy, Barefoot in the Park, comes to life on the Compass Rose Theater stage January 25, at the peak of our winter here in Annapolis. Smile, chuckle, laugh out loud, but don’t miss this frolicking journey back through time to a New York so innocent and precious it seems a hundred years ago.
