Plays the characters of GEORGE, the hero and heir to the Plantation Terrebonne, and M’CLOSKY, a villain who plots to buy Terrebonne

PLAYWRIGHT/WAHNOTEE/LAFOUCHE – Precast

ASSISTANT – male, Native American, mixed-race, or South Asian actor

Plays the characters of PETE, an older, loyal slave in charge of the house and

PAUL, a young slave

AIMEE BLAKE – female, 34, their daughter, a lawyer, suffers from a chronic digestive illness, recently dumped

BRIGID BLAKE – female, 26, their daughter, struggling composer, just moved in with boyfriend, starting to doubt future

RICHARD SAAD – male, 38, Brigid’s boyfriend, going to school for masters in social work, comes from a wealthy family, stands to inherit trust fund at 40.

JAXTON – male, 40s – 50s, Caucasian looking, yoga practitioner/actor. Politically correct to a fault, a big one. He’s that guy everyone loves, but his logical PC thinking takes weird turns.

LOGAN – Precast

ALICIA – female, brunette who looks like someone who would have been cast as ethnic in 1950’s movies. Without guile. That actress whose every script note happens to give her more lines. Must be able to sing.

I AND YOU

ANTHONY – a boy, 17. Not the same ethnicity as Caroline. He is neat, poised, mature for his age. He’s an A Student, a team player, a nice guy. He’s not really great around girls. HE takes his homework very seriously. When he likes something (jazz music) he is all in.

CAROLINE – a girl, 17. Not the same ethnicity as Anthony. She is in comfy clothing, she does not expect company, she is sick but doesn’t look terribly ill, just weak and frumpy, she doesn’t go out. She is cynical, over it, does not let a stray feeling near the surface.
