Eva: (early 20s) Basha and Joe’s daughter. A dreamer, a mediator
Basha: (mid-40s) Eva’s mother. She is a determined woman trying to make a go of it as a business woman in the Great Depression.
Zummer: (70s) Basha’s mother. Deeply loyal, but quick to call bullshit.
Joe: (mid-40s) Castic, helpless, slowly dying from Parkinson’s disease. Eva’s father and Basha’s husband.
Dr. Greenspan: (40s) He is in love with Basha
Teddy Kaufman: (30s) a would be Hollywood director and producer. He is Zummer’s great nephew. A man who is fulfilling the family’s dreams. He resembles Fred Astaire and has the same easy charm.
