BREAKDOWN

NOTE FROM CREATIVE: Synopsis: We come from a people who always danced! From Rhumba to Bomba, from hoofing to Lindy Hop; Black and Latino dance transformed the world before. And, like their parents and grandparents before them, the kids of these histories, the black and brown youth in New York, in the 1970's, transformed the world again when they created Hip-Hop. From park jams in the Bronx to schoolyards in Brooklyn, the culture would take over the world. Placing hip-hop and freestyle dance at the center, A Nation Grooves tells the story, through dance, of the birth of the culture from the 1970's to the Present.
