This production will be opening the brand-new ROUSE THEATRE at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Winner of 10 Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize, A Chorus Line finds 17 dancers competing for a role in a new Broadway musical. They must perfect vigorous dance combinations and share personal stories about their life in hopes of impressing the relentless director.
ENSEMBLE: 18+. Aspiring Broadway dancer-singers; includes the cut dancers. Ensemble members appear in the opening audition number, cover multiple roles, and sing offstage.
[LOIS DILETTANTE] (Female, 20 - 30) Ballerina who can’t get through the jazz combination. Non speaking.
[TRICIA] (Female, 20 - 30) Been in a touring company but not a Broadway show. Tricia has a vocal solo in I Hope I Get It.” Mezzo-Soprano: B3 - E5
[VICKI VICKERS] (Female, 20 - 30) A pretty, California-blonde type. She has not had any ballet training nor done any Broadway shows. Mezzo-Soprano: B3 - E5
[BUTCH BARTON] (Male, 20 - 30) Has a bit of an attitude. Can’t correct his mistake in the first boys' combination. Non-speaking. Baritone: B2 - B4
[FRANK] (Male, 20 - 30) Continually looks at his feet while dancing. Wears a headband. Non speaking. Baritone: B2 - B4
[TOM TUCKER] (Male, 20 - 30) Mouths the counts during both combinations. Non-speaking. Baritone: B2 - B4
