BREAKDOWN
Matt Lyle's world premiere comedy brings a witty energy to Circle's season as a small theater troupe's madcap production goes inexplicably, spectacularly off the rails. The actors find themselves cast into a strange surreal world resembling some of your most beloved films. This epic whirlwind of theater and movie magic is a raucous adventure through time, space, and extremely quotable lines.
Copies of the script are available for perusal at Circle Theatre during office hours.
This play is a homage to all types of theatre and film, including vintage vaudeville acts. We are seeking killer comic actors of any ethnicity that are physically adept and movement oriented. Must be willing to play, sing, use clowning techniques, etc.
DOC - A showman who was born too late. (Identifies as a male, any ethnicity, must know how to juggle or be willing to learn)
BOOF - Doc's trusty sidekick. (character identifies as female, any ethnicity, must be movement oriented, stage combat experience is a plus)
