SEEKING:

KENDRA/LUCY

* KENDRA - Female, Age 27. Grateful for the abortion she had at 22. She is outspoken, witty, and unashamed of her reproductive choices.

* LUCY - Female, Age 31. Terminated a wanted pregnancy with her partner. She is thoughtful and by nature, an introvert. Her abortion experience is still quite recent and has not told the story to many people.

LOREN/REVEREND

* LOREN - Female, Age 43, African-American. Works as a professor and case manager. Born and raised in South Carolina, she has lived in NYC for over 25 years. Has shared her abortion story with her students many times. Has built a wall between her present and her past – she can describe her traumatic childhood without hesitation. She is very matter of fact about her experiences. Very faint traces of her South Carolina dialect.

* REVEREND - Female, Age 50 . A faith leader that advocates for reproductive justice. She is approachable, patient, warm and has a terrific sense of humor. She meets every individual and challenge with compassion.

TINA/NADINE

* TINA - Non-Caucasian female, Age 19. Raised in Texas in a pro-life household. She had an abortion at 18 without telling her mother. The experience of terminating her pregnancy radically altered her opinion about reproductive freedom - she is still trying to piece together her own world view. Has a strong east Texas dialect.

* NADINE - Non-Caucasian female, Age 29. Works as a nurse practitioner in Michigan. Very passionate about reproductive freedom and is grateful for the opportunity to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for her patients. At times her indignation towards the opposition flares up, but she consistently fights for reproductive with professionalism and respect.

DR. PERRY/ELI/RYAN

* DR. PERRY - Caucasian male, Age 62. An abortion provider who has worked in abortion care for over 40 years. He has witnessed the consequences of illegal and unsafe abortions. He believes that safe and legal access to abortion care is a constitutional right and faces the opposition with logic and an unflappable resolve. He has very dry wit.

* ELI - Caucasian male, Age 35. Boyfriend of a woman who choose to have an abortion. While he supported whatever decision she made he had hoped that she would keep the pregnancy and they would raise the child together. He is still processing his limited role in the decision to terminate.

* RYAN - Caucasian male, Age 40. Decided with his wife to terminate a wanted pregnancy. He is not defensive about the abortion, but rather solid in his knowledge that that choice was the best option for his family. He is charming, warm and has an earnest sense of humor. Has a slight Canadian accent.

PATRICIA/ANNE

* PATRICIA - Hispanic female, Age 35. A sex educator who has been working in the field for 16 years. She is deeply committed to her work and has great sense of humor. She is able to leap from personal to professional topics with ease.

* ANNE - Hispanic female, Age 42. A mother of four children. She and her husband decide to have an abortion when she is 40 years old. She is exasperated by all the hoops she is forced to jump through in order to have her abortion. Despite her frustration with the bureaucracy, she is reflective and grateful for her abortion. Native Spanish speaker.

When not specified, please prepare a Standard American dialect.
